East Central District Health Department is hiring a Services Coordinator to support children ages 0–3 with special needs and their families.

This position helps families connect with services, understand available resources, and coordinate support through the Early Development Network. The Services Coordinator serves as a main point of contact for families, providers, and community agencies.

What You’ll Do

  • Meet with families to review needs, goals, and available supports
  • Help families access services and community resources
  • Coordinate referrals and communication with service providers
  • Assist with Individualized Family Service Plans, also known as IFSPs
  • Schedule and lead IFSP team meetings
  • Support families in advocating for their child’s needs
  • Help identify service gaps and assist with problem-solving
  • Maintain accurate records and follow DHHS guidance, policies, and regulations

What We’re Looking For

Qualified candidates must have one of the following:

  • Two years of experience in a health or human services field
  • 24 semester hours of education in behavioral sciences, social sciences, or a related field
  • A combination of education and experience equal to two years in a related field

  • Experience working with infants, toddlers, or children with special needs
  • Experience with family-centered services
  • Knowledge of community agencies and developmental disabilities
  • Bilingual skills
